  • About Me

I started taking pictures with a small hand held camera in 2002. I realized if I held it at a certain angle or got it at a custom setting, I could make ordinary pictures look extraordinary. I continued taking pictures casually until two weeks after my own wedding, one of my wife's old roommates asked me to take pictures of their wedding. From that point on, I have been diligently taking photos professionally. It started out as just friends of ours that were getting married, but quickly evolved into more and more.

On May 1st, 2010, photography became my sole source of income. I couldn't imagine having it any other way. God has totally blessed our business and I am blown away by His faithfulness.

On your wedding day, I like to be the invisible third person getting married alongside of you. I will capture your emotions, your expressions, and most importantly, the love you feel for your new spouse. I love to capture every moment because in the end, the flowers will fade, the food will be eaten, the dress will be put away in a box, but the photos will last forever.

Five things you should know about me:

    1. I am completely random and have a very quirky sense of humor. The more random or ridiculous a scenario, the funnier I think it is.

    2. I am very spontaneous and have no problem lying on my back or having you stand in the middle of a street to get the perfect shot.

    3. I've been to England 3 times in the last 4 years for weddings.

    4. I believe that pictures are like time capsules. I want to capture something that is going to last forever.

    5. I have a passion for healthy marriages having the right foundations.

Fisty Bennett - Wonderful pictures of Nathaniel Hunter and Kathryn Coe Harrington
on their wedding day, July 7, 2007. I can attest to the fact that you are all but invisible. When they showed me the pictures, I didn’t remember seeing you at all when you were taking them. And they are such a precious memory of the last trip Chuck and I were able to take together – a trip that had such deep meaning for us, the marriage of our oldest grandchild.

Geraghty Wedding 6/26/10

This couple was really fun to work with. After their wedding, they drove off in her father’s VW Beetle. Everything was going well until they went to start the car, and it wouldn’t go! They tried for a while, and finally were able to get it started. They drove away and what was supposed to be 5 minutes turned into half an hour as they had a few more issues with it after that, as well. In the end, though, we were able to capture some great photos and really enjoy their day.

Tiffany Mohler-Todd Adamson Engagement Stroll

This is a recent engagement stroll done for George Street Photography, a company I freelance with. When I take pictures of couples, families, or anyone else, I have to think out of the box. It is so hard for me to just say, “Stand here, smile! Great, I got a photo.” I want it to be so much more than that, so I try to draw from the elements around me to help capture my subjects. Hopefully, it shows in these pictures. Enjoy!
