Occasionally, Brian is unavailable to shoot a wedding on your wedding day. Never fear! We have a plan in place to use our other photographers on your wedding day! Below, you will find pictures from Rebecca Christian, and yours truly, Lindsey Cowen. Normally, I am behind the scenes, answering emails, taking phone calls, meeting with clients, and going through photos to be edited (along with chasing around our two daughters and keeping house as a stay at home mom), but occasionally, I accompany Brian to his shoots. On this occasion, I accompanied the lovely Rebecca Christian as she did a wonderful job capturing the wedding of Tina and Nick Tobiason.
Nick and Tina’s love story seems to come out of a romantic movie. They met in high school 16 years ago, while both of them were a part of the same choir program. All throughout high school Nick and Tina were very good friends. They always had an amazing connection. After a year of friendship, feelings mutually began to develop, however nothing resulted in them due to a number of different circumstances. Nevertheless, the spark was always there. In 2001, Tina moved away from Montana, where she and Nick grew up and lived in various parts of the country eventually ending up in Kenosha, WI in 2004 to be part of a school of worship through Living Light Christian Church. Meanwhile, Nick remained in Kalispell working at KALS radio station, and continued with everyday life. Once a year Tina would return home and get together with Nick and everyone could tell that there was still a connection. In 2009, Nick and Tina reconnected again when she came into town for her sister’s wedding and everyone was curious as to what was going on between them. However, nothing really came about until January, where unbeknown to them, they both had had feelings for each other. However, there was a problem, at this point in time, Tina found out that Nick was engaged to another woman. Tina knew in her heart that the person he was intending to marry was not the right woman for him. Tina knew she was and therefore wrote a letter explaining her feelings and warned him that what he was doing was settling for less that what he deserved. During Memorial Day weekend of 2010, after much prayer, Tina decided that she needed to fly out to Montana and convey her feelings in person. Through this confirmation, Nick knew that he could no longer deny his feelings for her. The date was June 1st. Within the next few weeks, Nick ended his engagement, and him and Tina began a courtship that turned into much more in August of that year. After 2 trips to Wisconsin, Nick popped the question in November at the Kenosha Harbor, the place Tina took him when he visited Wisconsin for the first time. Nick knew that he was supposed to move to Wisconsin, which he did in April of 2011. The two were married on June 4th, 1 year and 3 days after they both confessed how they felt.
